If you've been in our office recently you have no doubt noticed that we have implemented a new electronic medical record system. So, instead of seeing us carry your child's chart into the room with us, we are now carrying laptops! This new system gives us many advantages over using paper. It allows us to obtain information very quickly. It also allows us to more easily keep an organized record of all that is happening with your child. One immediate benefit our patients are seeing is the ability to send electronic prescriptions! Instead of giving you a paper prescription that you must drop off at the pharmacy to have filled, we now send most prescriptions to your pharmacy electronically. This means your pharmacy will receive the prescription almost instantaneously, saving you time! In the future we plan to offer you the ability to log into our website to request appointments and medication refills. We hope to also offer the ability to download your own updated copies of your child's immunization record, saving you time when you need an updated copy for school, camp, daycare, etc. We are excited about our new system, just one more way that we can improve our service to you and your children!
